In 2004, I gave up coffee, chocolate, alcohol, and marijuana all in one day. That was the day I decided to take my health really seriously and take it in my own hands. This is what’s really important for all of us.

If we want to  have a good health system in our bodies, and trust ourselves for what our bodies can do for us, we have to sacrifice some things to make that happen. For me it was a no brainer, I did a meditation and I asked what do I need to get rid of to become a better therapist when I was helping people at the time. Based on the information I got, I finished everything in one day.  I simply wanted to be able to be more responsible for my own health.

If you’re in that place where you’re really struggling with your health, the things that you’ve got to look at are the ones that are consequential for your body. We know that things like sugary soda aren’t good for our health but how do you get rid of them?

The hardest thing of taking responsibility for your own health is everything that we’re eating, everything that we’re drinking, everything that we’re consuming, and putting into our bodies, is a hider for our emotions. It’s the emotions that we’re hiding, that make us consume the things that are really unhealthy for us. One thing that you want to understand is that if you want to get yourself healthier, you have to start taking things away slowly. As you start to do that, you’ll start to realise that each step you take will align you to a better health system. It’s really important to get the help with that. So find a good naturopath or other health professional or you can connect with us in the Academy. We’ve had so many people get rid of things that are not healthy for them. These are people who are addicted to substances of all kinds, but they managed to get off those in the space of a couple of months, and we helped them get on a really strong health routine.

If we want to get healthy, we need to actually think about the things that we are personally doing to get ourselves back in alignment with a really strong sense of responsibility, connection, and trust in our bodies. The only thing that we can do to gain our own trust back is making really clear decisions to make sure that we are super healthy with the stuff that we put in our body to make sure that long-term we’re going to be healthy. The thing is, disease actually develops over a  period of time, it doesn’t just happen overnight. It happens because of your choices that you’ve been making over a long period of time. If you want health, you can always reverse everything, but it really comes down to all the things that you are willing to change. You know, I’ve had people cure diseases that are not possible to cure, but it worked with all the work that we do in the academy. Things can change but it is up to you how much responsibility you’re going to take for your journey towards health to live the life that you want. If you want some help with this, come and catch up with us.
